A University of Wisconsin professor is taking over the helm of the Morgridge Institute for Research, the organization announced recently.
New CEO Dr. Brad Schwartz is the director of research education and career development in the School of Medicine and Public Health. Previously, he served as dean of the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Urbana-Champaign.
“With active research programs in core computational technology, medical devices, regenerative biology and virology, the Morgridge Institute for Research is well positioned to advance the university’s leadership in interdisciplinary science,” Schwartz said in a statement.
Schwartz replaces Sangtae Kim, who left last June to pursue new career interests and opportunities.
