High-tech small businesses are encouraged to apply for an SBIR Advance grant offered by the Center for Technology Commercialization (CTC), the organization announced recently.
“These funds continue to help SBIR companies do critical business-related activities that accelerate their commercialization and ultimately benefit the Wisconsin economy,” CTC Senior Technology Consultant and SBIR Advance Program Manager Dr. Todd Strother said in a statement.
According to a release, SBIR Advance matches up to $75,000 in funding to provide additional assistance to companies in the process of completing a project in the federal Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) or Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) programs.
Companies must be based in Wisconsin, have an SBIR/STTR project in either Phase I or Phase II of funding and complete “Intent to Apply” form by Thursday, Aug. 3.
SBIR Advance began in 2014 and is in its ninth round of funding.
