Mark Bakken, co-founder and CEO of Nordic Consulting, will step down from his current role to start a seed and venture fund dedicated to the healthcare IT startups around the Madison area, the company announced this week.

“I’m an entrepreneur at heart,” Bakken said in a statement. “After five years of leading Nordic and building a very successful company, I’m turning it over to our exceptional team so I can help other healthcare IT startups in the Madison area.”

According to a release, the fund will receive early contributions from Nordic and Bakken, with the goal of working with accredited investors to attract limited partners to the venture fund.
