NorthStar Medical Radioisotopes and Purdue University’s College of Pharmacy signed a collaborative agreement, which expands the College of Pharmacy’s nuclear pharmacy training program, the company announced recently.
“We are excited to collaborate with Purdue University’s prestigious College of Pharmacy in advancing educational initiatives in nuclear pharmacy,” NorthStar Medical Radioisotopes CEO Stephen Merrick said in a statement. “NorthStar is committed to delivering innovative technology solutions for the nuclear medicine community and this cooperative effort between industry and academia provides students with experience in being part of the solution.”
According to a release, NorthStar has provided a RadioGenix System to the College of Pharmacy for use in training nuclear pharmacy students on the production of technetium-99m (Tc-99m). Purdue will then provide NorthStar with feedback about the RadioGenix system and early testing of planned enhancements.
