Pathogenomica won the 2017 Doyenne Group’s 5x5x5 pitch event Thursday at the University of Wisconsin’s Grainger Hall during Forward Festival and received a $5,000 seed grant.

The company detects pathogens with DNA sequencing to help alleviate environmental issues such as water pollution and process inefficacies.

Classmunity, Lifebook by Plumleaf, Pussyfoot Tape and Stimmi were the other participants.

Pathogenomica pitched in front of a panel of sponsors and Doyenne Ambassadors.

Lynx Biosciences won last year’s contest.
