The Greater Madison Chamber of Commerce today announced the five finalists for its annual Pressure Chamber pitch contest, to be held at 2:30 p.m., Tuesday, Aug. 27 at the Overture Center as part of Forward Festival.
All five finalists are Madison-area based: American Provenance, Goods Unite Us, NovoMoto, OnLume and The Virtual Foundry.
“Once again this year, Greater Madison’s apex live pitch contest will feature a diverse array of top emerging companies ready to showcase their innovation,” Chamber President Zach Brandon said in a statement. “With all the success enjoyed by past winners and competitors, Pressure Chamber continues to send a strong message to the world that Greater Madison is a place of economic acceleration.”
Similar to past years, companies will pitch their business and the winner is decided based on a combination of judges’ scoring and audience votes. The winning company also receives a trip to Silicon Valley to meet with investment firms.
Live Undiscovered Music (LUM) won last year’s contest.
