A group of five organizations, including venture capital firm Revolution, announced Wednesday a second Rise of the Rest Road Tour, including a stop in Madison on Oct. 6 as part of a trip through the Midwest.
“Entrepreneurship is the lifeblood of our economy,” Revolution chairman and CEO Steve Case said in a statement. “Based on the resounding success of our first bus tour nearly 10 weeks ago, I am eager to hit the road once again and pleased to be joined by partners that share our vision for a resurgence of entrepreneurship across America.”
According to a release, each visit will feature fireside chats with Case, nationally renowned entrepreneurs and civic leaders. The group also will host pitch competitions in which one winner in each city will earn a $100,000 investment in their company.
In Madison, gener8tor is scheduled to participate.
After Madison, the Rise of the Rest Road Tour hits Minneapolis, Des Moines, Kansas City and St. Louis.
Other organizers areĀ UP Global, Google for Entrepreneurs, Engine Advocacy and Startup Grind.
