The Center for Technology Commercialization (CTC) is now accepting applications from small businesses for its 24th round of the SBIR Advance grant, the organization announced today.
According to a release, SBIR Advance matches up to $100,000 in funding to provide additional assistance to companies in the process of completing a project in the federal Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) or Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) programs.
“Our SBIR Advance Phase I program is aimed at helping companies prepare competitive commercialization plans for competitive SBIR/STTR Phase II proposals,” SBIR Advance Program Manager Rob Baranowski said in a statement. “The SBIR Advance Phase II funding is to help awardees reach business and commercial milestones.”
To be eligible, an applicant company must have an SBIR/STTR project in either Phase I or Phase II of funding, have a significant presence in Wisconsin and be registered within the Wisconsin Department of Financial Institutions.
Applications are due by noon Oct. 31, and applicants who are chosen will be notified by mid-November.
