Seven local businesses will receive an SBIR Advance grant, the Center for Technology Commercialization and the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation announced recently.
The local recipients for Phase I are AIQ Solutions and Scienss Biotechnology while the Phase II recipients are Calimetrix, GoDx, Imagen Energy, OnLume, Pyran and Voximetry.
SBIR Advance matches grants up to $75,000 for Phase I and $100,000 for Phase II. The program provides assistance to companies in the process of completing a project in the federal Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) or Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) programs.
AIQ Solutions, Calimetrix, GoDx, OnLume, Pyran and Voximetry are in Madison, and Scienss Biotechnology is in Verona.
