SHINE Medical Technologies will be holding its second annual design competition in collaboration with the School District of Janesville, the company announced recently.
According to a release, the competition asks students to create a 3D-printed object to be used by SHINE as an employee award of excellence, titled The Illuminator Award. Teams of up to four students will be judged by SHINE on their design.
“SHINE is excited to be engaging again with the next generation of innovators in our community,” SHINE Community and Employee Engagement Manager Cheryl Peterson said in a statement. “We want to help students understand the importance of science, technology, engineering, art and math in preparing them for future careers, not only at SHINE but for countless other careers.”
Students in 6th through 12th grades are eligible to compete.
Those interested should sign up by Oct. 15 and submit their final 3D design product by Jan. 18, 2020.
