SHINE Medical Technologies has completed construction and taken occupancy of Building One, the first building of its medical isotope production campus, the company announced today.
“Building One’s name was chosen because it’s intended to be a technological genesis building,” SHINE CEO Greg Piefer said in a statement. “It will be a laboratory in which we continue to develop new technologies to keep SHINE at the forefront of medical isotope production and nuclear innovations beyond that.”
According to a release, the 11,400-square foot building will house the first integrated, full-size SHINE production system this summer. It also will be used to train employees and develop an operating history with equipment.
The building, which broke ground in August 2017, was completed three weeks ahead of schedule.
