SixLine Semiconductor won the Greater Madison Chamber of Commerce’s 11th annual Pressure Chamber pitch contest held Tuesday at the Majestic Theater and earned an all-expenses-paid trip to meet investment firms in Silicon Valley in the fall.
The company, which also won the 2023 Governor’s Business Plan Contest, is commercializing breakthroughs in carbon nanotube processing to unlock the next generation of high-performance, cost-effective semiconductor devices.
“All the companies were so impressive, and just to be among such high-caliber companies was a win,” CEO and Co-Founder Katy Jinkins, Ph.D., said. “We hope to use this win as a springboard for the future.”
CranioSure, Cubby, Maize, SideShift and Terra Bioforge were the other participants. The winner was decided based on judges’ scoring and audience votes.
Child Health Imprints won last year’s contest. The event is part of Forward Festival, which continues through Friday.
