Specter Engineering, an advanced engineering firm that specializes in electrified powertrain design and optimization, has launched, the company announced today.

According to a release, the mission of the firm is to help emerging companies in the electrified transportation space bring their dreams to life through the design and optimization of their electric propulsion systems. Services include architecture optimization, battery systems, power electronics and PM motor and transmission.

“We craft solutions that are not only optimized at a component level but are distinguished in their cohesive and symbiotic design at a system level so that your product takes on a life of its own,” Specter Engineering CTO Max Liben said in a statement.

Spectre was founded by Jason Sylvestre, a University of Wisconsin graduate who serves as the company’s CEO.
