StartingBlock Madison has partnered with the American Family Insurance Institute for Corporate and Social Impact and Associated Bank to create a social impact initiative, the organization announced recently.
According to a release, the entrepreneurial hub is seeking social impact changemakers through Monday, Dec. 3 to be a part of the first cohort of companies and organizations that focus on solving significant social and environmental challenges.
“There is tremendous potential for social entrepreneurship as a model for creating significant, sustainable impact,” StartingBlock Madison Director of Operations and Programming Chandra Miller Fienen said in a statement. “In building this collaborative partnership, we can help social entrepreneurs apply a business-driven approach to maximizing their impact.”
Selected participants will receive a six-month membership to StartingBlock and local consulting support.
Madison-based entrepreneurs concentrating on K-12 education, resilient communities or economic opportunity for all are encouraged to apply.
Applications can be done online, and winners will be announced Dec. 17.
