StartingBlock Madison and the Milwaukee Institute announced today that they have created Madwaukee Talks, a program in which both organizations will share the costs and benefits of common speakers.

“We hope to dive into the numbers to discover new opportunities for Madison and Milwaukee–two cities that are critical to the health of the state as a whole,” StartingBlock Entrepreneur in Residence Scott Resnick said in a statement. “Madwaukee Talks offer a unique chance to forge true collaborations and show that the whole is worth more than the parts.”

According to a release, the first Madison Madwaukee Talks, titled “Report Cards on Startup Growth,” will take place at 1 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 31 at Foley & Lardner’s office and feature Tom Chapman, chair of the startup data committee for Startup Champions Network. Chapman is speaking in Milwaukee on Tuesday, Jan. 30.

The event is free and registration can be done online.

The Milwaukee Institute is a not-for-profit organization that helps forward-thinking Midwesterners learn, connect and unlock the potential of advanced technologies.
