Designers, accountants, ironworkers, entrepreneurs, gardeners and tech folks can come together April 26-28 at University Research Park for the eighth annual Startup Weekend, organizers announced recently.
As previously reported, the 54-hour event is gear toward entrepreneurs looking to launch a venture and what it takes to get that idea off the ground. Admission is $25-$75.
Similar to past years, teams form on Friday evening, with optional pitches taking place after dinner. The final presentations start on Sunday evening.
Sample prizes for the top teams include a free month’s rental of a dedicated desk at Madworks Coworking, an all-access pass to Forward Festival and free logo creation.
“My Signature Dish,” a digital platform for chefs to give in-home cooking lessons of their signature dishes to fellow foodies, won last year’s event.
