Deb Thompson’s business plan for Stimmi won the fifth annual Madison College Challenge held last Friday at Madison College’s Truax Campus.

Thompson takes home $5,000 for her app that lets parents save important information about a disabled person and makes that info easily available to caregivers, schools and family members.

In total, Madison College awarded more than $11,000 in cash and in-kind prizes.

The business plan competition is open to students enrolled at Madison College in at least one credit or non-credit course during the 2015-16 or 2016-17 school years. A feasibility analysis was due March 6, followed by the business plan April 17.
