The Wisconsin Technology Council announced today that it will honor Susie and Matt Younkle with the annual Excellence in Entrepreneurial Education award during the Wisconsin Early Stage Symposium taking place Nov. 8-9 at the Monona Terrace.
According to a release, the “Triple E” award highlights the importance of teaching and mentoring entrepreneurs. Both Susie and Matt have launched companies and mentored startups separately and together.
Susie is the program director for MERLIN Mentors and runs Madworks Accelerator by StartingBlock, while Matt has been the co-founder of companies including Pythonic Corp., murfie.com and TurboTap. He also is the co-founder of Forward Festival and the Wisconsin Innovation Awards.
“Matt and Susie Younkle have touched scores of young companies over time, providing mentorship while drawing on their own diverse experience in starting and running companies,” Wisconsin Technology Council President Tom Still said in a statement.
Joe Kirgues and Troy Vosseller of gener8tor won the 2022 award.
