University of Wisconsin students are invited to attend the Transcend Madison kickoff event taking place 6-7 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 29 at the Engineering Hall, the organization announced recently.

Attendees can learn about the competition, which will be held April 15-16 at the Wisconsin Institutes for Discovery, and network with the team. Pizza also will be provided.

The deadline for team registration at Transcend Madison is Friday, Feb. 7.

Past winners have included LineLeap and Drip Drinks.
