UpShift

UpShift is seeking to raise $4,000 on Kickstarter to expand to a bigger office and extend its services online.

According to its Kickstarter campaign, which ends Dec. 6, UpShift wants to create an online swap shop for all 50 states for a $49.99 charge, per online transaction.

“The goal of our Kickstarter is to create a buzz and to get people to believe in what we’re doing and help us expand, so we can offer it online,” Upshift Founder Lindsay Leno said in a video. “What we do is sustainable, eco-friendly and it supports the community.”

Pledges range from $25-$100. As of Wednesday, UpShift had more than $2,000 in pledges.

Currently, UpShift customers bring in their stylish and gently used clothes, pay $20 and then refill the bags they brought in with new clothing.
