Applications for the Wisconsin Alumni Research Foundation’s UpStart fall entrepreneurship program for women and people of color are now being accepted through June 1, organizers recently announced.
The free nine-week program will begin Tuesday, Sept. 14 and end Tuesday, Nov. 16. The classes are planned for in-person at the Wisconsin Institutes for Discovery but can switch to virtual, if necessary.
According to the website, UpStart connects participants to area professionals, helps them gain the skills needed to launch a business and helps them establish strategic goals and identify next steps.
A modified version of UpStart took place online in fall 2020, and the program was not held in spring 2021.
Those interested in applying can do so here.
