Virtual United, a virtual event and networking platform, announced earlier this week that it would cease operations, effective 2022.
“We have decided to stop supporting the platform and are effectively turning off the switch in 2022,” Co-Founder Benny Pekala wrote in a LinkedIn post. “Thank you for being here with us. We could not have done it without you.”
Virtual United was founded by Pekala and Benjamin Hansen in 2020, and its platform was used for several local events, including the 2021 Forward Festival.
The browser-based platform featured unlimited attendees and was used for recruiting, trade fairs, virtual offices and meetups.
The tech company will host its final event on Wednesday, Nov. 10. Click here to register.
