The Wisconsin Alumni Research Foundation will dedicate resources and funds to inspire and advance technologies poised to combat the COVID-19 pandemic through its UW/WARF COVID-19 Accelerator Challenge, the organization announced today.
“WARF has never been more proud to serve UW-Madison researchers,” WARF CEO Erik Iverson said in a statement. “The UW/WARF COVID-19 Accelerator Challenge is just one way we intend to support our partners and rise to this moment together.”
According to a release, the $100,000 fund is designed to speed the development of prototypes and other highly deployable concepts that can be commercialized or implemented in 6-12 months.
Criteria to submit include being a Principal Investigator at UW-Madison or the Morgridge Institute for Research and a completed disclosure form and short description of funding, among others.
Applications must be submitted online by May 4.
