The Wisconsin Alumni Research Foundation (WARF) will provide $134.1 million in total support to the University of Wisconsin research community during the 2023-24 academic year, the organization announced today.
“WARF’s mission is to support the research enterprise of the University of Wisconsin-Madison and the Morgridge Institute for Research,” WARF CEO Erik Iverson said in a statement. “Our annual grant to these organizations is part of that support and something our entire staff celebrates each year.”
According to a release, the grant includes $11.4 million for the Fall Research Competition, $6.5 million for grant matches and $13.5 million for faculty recruitment and retention.
To date, WARF has provided mission-driven operational and functional support to UW-Madison equivalent to $439 million over the last 15 years.
