The Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation today announced the eight recipients, including four in Madison, that received a total of $1.3 million in the latest round of Entrepreneurship Partner Grants.
“Entrepreneurs play a vital role in driving Wisconsin’s economy forward,” WEDC Secretary and CEO Missy Hughes said in a statement. “With the help of our partners, entrepreneurs will be able to bring new ideas and businesses to life.”
According to a release, the local recipients are:
- Doyenne Group ($98,000), which will use the funds to support its Triple Threat Venture Training.
- StartingBlock Madison ($200,000), which will use the funds to run a series of pre-accelerator and accelerator programming.
- Food Finance Institute ($190,900), which will use the funds to facilitate its Food Finance Fellows program.
- Urban League of Greater Madison ($100,000), which will use the funds to work with gener8tor to host early-stage and later-stage accelerator programs.
The Entrepreneurship Partner Grants were created in 2021 to assist organizations that provide training, financing, mentorship and technical support to startups across the state.
