Numerous Madison companies were among the 84 in the state to receive $281.7 million in funding in 2016, according to the latest INvest Quarterly report from the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation.
Among the local startups listed were Fetch Rewards, HealthMyne, Health eFilings and Understory.
According to a release, the total amount of funding is up 60 percent from $177 million in 2015.
The report tracks only companies the state has designated as Qualified New Business Ventures, which gives the QNBV investors a tax credit, totaling $17.9 million from 2016.
