Wellbe announced Tuesday that Meriter Health Services is now using its online patient program called Guided CarePath to help patients undergoing joint replacement surgery and recovery.
According to a release, the cloud-based program allows patients to view and follow their care plans online via any device, reducing stress and increasing convenience of information throughout the entire patient process.
“Guided patient engagement throughout the care cycle can help improve outcomes, reduce risks of setbacks and speed up recovery,” James Dias, CEO of Wellbe, said in a statement. “We are excited that our friends, families and neighbors in Dane County will be able to benefit from the use of this new tool.”
The program is offered free of charge to all hip and knee replacement patients. Patients begin the program when they are scheduled for surgery, and they can subsequently go online at any time to access checklists, informative videos, helpful follow-along exercises and feedback surveys to guide them through the pre-operative, surgery and recovery process.
