ZYNLO, a digital-only bank powered by PeoplesBank, has launched in Madison, the company announced recently.

“Our assessments indicated that a digital bank offering, backed by the security of a community bank, would be an advantage to consumers in Madison,” PeoplesBank President Tom Senecal said in a statement. “Digital banking is probably the most environmentally friendly banking solution that we have been able to offer to date.”

According to a release, the city’s fast population growth, significant levels of higher education and its large portion of 25-44-year-olds made Madison an ideal digital banking launch market.

ZYNLO is only offered to customers in Madison and Anchorage, Alaska.
